EmpowerMind® philosophy
EmpowerMind® has proven that "learning disabilities" do not exist, but rather each person is unique and learns differently. Once an individual, whether a 10 year old child, a 90 year old adult, failing student, honor student or anyone in between, learns how she learns, then learning becomes easy. We encourage stepping outside the "rule" box. We help individuals experience their own greatness by showing them how to work with their strengths versus focusing on their perceived weaknesses. We prove to them that they are geniuses. It's a process of self-discovery by taste testing a wonderful buffet of techniques and individually choosing which ones work best for them. We use a holistic approach, which helps students look at all their unique qualities, that make them the geniuses they are. They experience which senses they learn from best, if they're a right brain or left brain learner, what time of day do they learn best, how to relax and get into "the zone," and much more. The process is exciting, thought provoking, confidence boosting and fun.

that from the time we are born we are given a unique set of talents and gifts
to share with the world. These talents and gifts are our unique genius. Our
God given right is to realize these talents and have them nurtured in order
for each of us to reach our potential. Once we enter a standard school system,
these gifts are often ignored, ridiculed, lessened or simply not encouraged.
But rather, we are taught to learn and achieve through a VERY limited process.
If we don't fit into society's limited model then we are a "problem learner,"
" problem student," "Learning Disabled," "stupid," or we have to try too hard
and put in too much wasted time to achieve within the system.
This extends into Corporate America where we are again encouraged to stay in the lines, follow the rules etc. versus finding new paths, new ideas and accomplishing goals in the way that helps us as individuals to achieve our best. EmpowerMind®'s facilitators Kimberly Kassner and her husband Peter Earley take full responsibility for a student's outcome with each technique they are taught. If an individual does not grasp something in particular it is not their fault, but the fault of the facilitators. The belief is that it is the facilitators' responsibility to reach each individual. If they can't do that, they have failed NOT the student. This is why EmpowerMind® guarantees that a person's ability to learn will improve dramatically in the first two hours AND the person will have fun in the process.
